Opening a second location while waiting on a license. Build-out costs come first, revenue comes later.
Illustrative example. Business name is fictional.

Most leads arrive after every other funder has called.

Bought lists and inbound applications reach you when the merchant is already shopping. By then you are competing on price. Public records show the need weeks earlier, while the owner is still signing leases and filing permits.

Typical lead sources

  • Shared lists sold to many funders at once
  • Merchants who already have offers in hand
  • No reason given for why this business, why now

Axadium Signals

  • Businesses found from the activity that comes before a funding request
  • Ranked by how strong and how recent the evidence is
  • Every lead shows the filings behind it, so reps open with something specific

Four public records that come before a funding request

Each one on its own is a hint. A business that shows up in two or more at once is the strongest lead we can find, so those rank highest.

Liquor license applications

A restaurant or bar applying for a license is usually mid build-out, paying for equipment, inventory and staff before the doors open.

Federal contract awards

A small business that just won a government contract has to pay for labor and materials months before the government pays it.

From federal award data (USAspending)

Building permits

New construction, major renovations and work at several sites at once are expensive, and they often outrun cash on hand.

New trucking authorities

A newly registered carrier needs trucks, fuel and insurance before its first load pays out.

How it works

No forms to fill in and no data to upload. You log in and work the list.

  1. We collect the records

Every day, Signals pulls new filings from city, state and federal sources in your market.

  2. We match and score them

Filings under different spellings and trade names are joined into one business, then scored 0 to 100 on how recent and how strong the evidence is.

  3. Your team works the list

Filter by area, signal type or strength, see why each business ranks, and export to CSV or your CRM.

Built by people who work in small-business finance

Signals comes from years in small-business finance: merchant cash advance, commercial lending and equipment finance. It is designed around how funding teams actually prospect.

MCA funders

Reach merchants with fresh build-outs and contract wins before brokers stack them with offers.

Equipment lessors

New carriers, kitchens and job sites all need equipment, and the records show exactly when.

Commercial lenders

Spot expansion and new contracts early enough to offer a line of credit instead of a rescue.

Pilot it for 30 days

We're running paid pilots with a small number of funders in New York: $500 for 30 days, one market, up to two users. Your team works the list, logs what happens, and we review the results together each week.

Request a pilot
  • Reviewed New York prospects, delivered weekly in batches
  • Every prospect shows the filings and dates behind it
  • CSV export for your team or CRM
  • A day-30 review of what your team reached, applied and funded

Questions

Where does the data come from?

Only public government records: the NYC Department of Buildings, the NY State Liquor Authority, federal contract award data and the federal motor carrier census. We do not scrape private sites or buy consumer data.

Which markets do you cover?

New York today. Building permits cover New York City, and the other sources cover all of New York State. More markets will follow based on demand from pilot customers.

Do leads include contact details?

Where the public record includes them, yes. Building permits and trucking registrations often list an owner phone number. Your team is responsible for following telemarketing rules, including the TCPA, when you call or text.

Is every business on the list looking for funding?

No. A signal means a business is doing something that usually requires capital, not that it has asked for it. Scores reflect how strong and recent that evidence is, so your team spends time on the best odds first.

What happens after the pilot?

We review what your team reached, applied and funded against your current lead sources. If it worked, you continue on a monthly plan. If not, you stop with nothing further owed.
